The premiere of the seventh season of the fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones is just days away.
Unlike previous seasons of the popular HBO show that consisted of 10 episodes each, the seventh season will consist of only seven.
Like the previous season, it will largely consist of original content not found in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.
It will also adapt material Martin revealed to show runners about the upcoming novels in the series.
The American fantasy drama premiered on HBO in the United States on April 17, 2011.
Game of Thrones features a large ensemble cast, including Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, and Kit Harington.
The season, which runs until August 27, will introduce several new cast members, including Jim Broadbent and Tom Hopper.
